Thanks Evan. I've always believed that if something doesn't resonate with the writer, then it's not going to resonate with anyone else. As much as I enjoyed writing "Breathers" and love the characters in it, right now they don't have anything else to say, so I feel like I'd be forcing them to engage in a dialogue with me, so to speak.

And I like "The Phantom Menace" analogy.

Mr. Browne,
While I would love to read what happens to Andy next, you seem to be apprehensive about continuing his story. Don't do it because us fans want you to. If you did that, you might with something horrid...along the lines of The Phantom Menace. But if you truly feel that you should continue the story, and you have a great plot already in your head, you might wind up with something like Scream 2 and 3. (While not as great as the first, they are great flicks.)

Thanks Renee. I appreciate your enthusiasm and support for the zombie's POV. It would definitely have to be something fresh and exciting for me to go back to Andy's world, at least for anything novel length. It's always possible I could come up with a short story somewhere down the road. But at the moment I prefer to write some stories about other characters and situations that aren't centered on the living dead. Thanks again!

Bri, I'm inclined to agree on the difference between movie vs book sequels, and it seems to me most book "sequels" are more along the lines of reoccurring characters or series than they are sequels. And I think anytime someone forces something that doesn't resonate with them, it's pretty obvious. Thanks for the comment.

I loved Breathers so much. If you really put heart into it, it would be amazing to continue seeing things from a zombie's point of view in such a unique set of circumstances. =]

Movie sequels v. Book sequels are very different, at least to me.

If you wrote the book not planning a sequel, maybe a sequel wouldn't be a good idea because you might be forcing it. I'd love more good zombie books, there aren't enough good zombie books in the world, but any good book is just as good as a good zombie book to me.
